Vanlife - The Restoration Process

Witnessing the earth suffering from the changes in the climate lead me to persue a simpler and more sustainable lifestyle. From 2016 I began minimising my consuming of plastics and began recycling, upcycling and buying second hand whenever possible. I also began my journey toward tiny home and off the grid living, which offers me a more affordable way of living, with less impacts to the environment.

With the devestation of the 2020 bushfire season, caravans being used as a primary dwelling or additional living space, became a reality for many residents of the south coast, NSW, my home region.

As the world changed with the pandemic I found reassurance in caravans. Restoring old caravans provided me with a purpose as I was providing many in need with living quarters, a means to travel safely, within our borders or country.

I have now lived on the road for nearly 2 years as a digital nomad. With a Toyota 4x4 I am able to go any where, and a vintage caravan that I have lovongly restored (with the help of family and friends), waiting for me at the end of the day.
